SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICER JOB POSTING

The Village of Stockbridge Police Department is currently accepting applications for a full-time school resource officer and patrol officer. The applicant must have good interpersonal, public relation skills and be able to work a variety of different environments. During the school year, the resource officer’s main responsibility will be Stockbridge Junior/Senior High School, Pass Program, Emma Smith Elementary, and Heritage Elementary. The resource officer’s shift is 7am-3pm, but hours may be adjusted for school events or the needs of the school. The resource officer will be required to work road patrol on weeks where the school is not in session and the summer months.
To be considered for the full-time position, applicant must also meet the following minimum qualifications:
- Be a Michigan resident
- Possess a valid Michigan driver’s license with clean driving record
- MCOLES License
- Be able to successfully pass a comprehensive background investigation, medical examination, and drug screen
Wages and Benefits:
- Pay starts at $21/hour (Up to $25/hour based on experience)
